Italy In Bocca is one of the world’s rarest, funkiest, weirdest cardboard bound cookbooks. In this episode the two non-chefs source the absolute best ingredients at Caputo’s Italian grocery in Brooklyn, and Pino’s Prime Meats, a century old Italian butcher, in Greenwich Village, NYC.
We’re lucky we were born in NYC because if you love food, then this is the place to be. We don’t care if you’re cooking Chinese, Indian, Canadian, Indonesian, or Bhutanese food, you can find a specialty market to help you make magic in the kitchen. Caputo’s and Pino’s are the top of the top, and they were nice enough to let us in with our camera and see the masters at work.
We hope you like the series In Bocca, we shot it the very day before the quarantine and edited it during the shut down. It was made out of love for food, for these books, and for the country that has inspired and given us so much, Italy. Hopefully they will recover soon from this horrible pandemic, and if you would like to help or find out more about the project and what we’re all about, then hop over to:
