Italy In Bocca is one of the world’s rarest, funkiest, weirdest cardboard bound cookbooks, and this was one of the weirdest recipes we were willing to try. Rigatoni in salsa di fegato, or chicken liver pasta, was something that neither of us have ever tried, let alone heard of, and we’ve eaten our share of pasta. Nevertheless we two non-chefs tried our best to make this oddball recipe, and it came out great. What’s more it was super simple to make.
The ingredients you will need is Rigatoni pasta, baby portobello mushrooms, chicken livers, white wine, butter, and guts to eat it. We’ll be honest, it was way more delicious then either one of us expected, and no, did not taste like liver at all. Just a cloud of yum. Details on our site below.
We hope you like the series In Bocca, we shot it the very day before the quarantine and edited it during the shut down. It was made out of love for food, for these books, and for the country that has inspired and given us so much, Italy. Hopefully they will recover soon from this horrible pandemic, and if you would like to help or find out more about the project and what we’re all about, then hop over to:
