HOW TO MAKE FRIED PIZZA "PIZZELLE" : ORIGINAL RECIPE FROM APULIA, ITALY

These pizzas are a fun idea to share with family or friends: a recipe that will win everyone over, including the little ones.

▼ INGREDIENTS:
Oil to fry, canola works great
2 ½ cup of flour
a little salt and sugar
one package of yeast
1 can of crashed tomatoes
olive oil
garlic and parsley
salt, pepper and a quarter of water
parmesan cheese

1. Start making fried pizzelle from the dough, as it needs time to rise. In a bowl, collect the flour, yeast, sugar, salt and water and start kneading the mix. Form a ball and let it rise until doubled (about 2 hours) covered with food film.
2. After this time divide the dough into balls. Iron each of them with a rolling pin in diskettes about 10 cm in diameter and place them on a floured tray.
3. Meanwhile, make your tomato sauce: in a saucepan, season the oil with garlic and parsley, when golden add the crashed tomato, salt, pepper and cook for 15 minutes or whatever until the sauce has narrowed.
4. At this point fry the pizzelle, a few at a time, in a saucepan with boiling oil at 170 °, making them brown on both sides. Drain them with towel paper, season them with salt and the prepared tomato sauce.
5. Sprinkle with grated parmesan , and serve the still warm fried Pizzelle.
