Pasta all’amatriciana is one of the most famous pasta dishes in Italy and in the world! It is said that this famous dish born in the Lazio village of Amatrice was the main meal of the shepherds, but originally it was without tomato and took the name of “gricia”; this ingredient was added later, when tomatoes were imported from the Americas and the condiment took the name of Amatriciana. Pasta, tomatoes, bacon and pecorino romano: these are the original ingredients of the amatriciana, a quick and easy first course to enjoy alone or in company!

What you will need
6 oz Bacon
4 cloves Garlic
1 lb Bucatini
28 oz. Canned Peeled Tomatoes
4 oz. Pecorino
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
1/2 tsp Chili Flakes
¼ tsp Black Pepper
