Croccante – Italian Praline

Croccante – Italian Praline recipe can be found in Marcella Hazan’s “Essentials of Classic Italian Cooking”.

Ingredients:
-6 ounces (about 1 1/2 cups) shelled almonds with their skins on
-1 heaping cup granulated sugar
-A large sheet of heavy-duty aluminum foil, spread flat on a counter and smeared with 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil

Second video up and this a recipe that called out to me when reading the dessert section of this book. Perhaps it’s because I am crazy about sugar, and one of the main ingredients is sugar.
Either way, it was my first time making it, as most other things you will see on this channel, but it turned out to be really really really good. Like so good that you eat half the batch that was supposed to be given to your family to try.
Once again thanks for joining me on this long food voyage and I hope to see you guys next time on Kitchen’s Always Open!
PS: If you have any recipes you want me to try out (key word is try) just let me know in the comments!
