things I wish social media told me before visiting Sicily if you’re trying to live out your best Italian summer White Lotus potential do not do a day trip to Tara everyone who did a day trip hated this place and those who stayed a couple days all loved it reason is if you only do a day trip you’re on the same schedule with that massive fairy that docked in the morning and all you get to enjoy is corso and Berto but taramina is so much more than that it’s filled with some of the most homey restaurants and beaches with some of the bluest Waters you’ll experience and it was one of our favorite memories in all of Sicily next up if you’re going out on a whim trying to pick a restaurant last minute do not pick the restaurant that’s open 24/7 your best bet of getting an authentic Italian meal is to pick the restaurant that’s closed on Mondays closed between lunch and dinner service and has a small menu next up driving around sisly is relatively easy but it’s also like a game of chicken the locals don’t really believe in turn signals and stop signs are a thing of the past with that said as long as you’re not driving in poo or katania I recommend just getting a car for the time you’re in sisly as public transit is not the most

Driving is like that in America too lol. No one stops at signs/lights nor use their turn signals, just last week, one day I was almost hit three different times, and wasn’t the one driving. Shows everyone is the same anywhere in the world. 🤷♀️
