Ultimate Cheesesteak Stromboli Recipe | How to Make the Ultimate Philly Cheesesteak Stromboli!

For me, a great cheesesteak is about a great roll, quality meat, good seasoning, properly diced onions, and perfect proportions. I worked to achieve all of those things in this tutorial!

Historically, I was a “Wiz-Wit” kinda guy, but over time I’ve become a Cooper-Wit guy. Cooper cheese is just incredible on a cheesesteak, so I decided to use it exclusively in this recipe.

Ultimate Philly Cheesesteak Stromboli Recipe

Ingredients:
28 oz pizza dough
16 oz shaved ribeye steak
16 oz shredded Cooper cheese
Sesame Seeds

Seasoning Blend for Steak:
50% Salt
30% Black Pepper
15% Onion Powder
15% Granulated Garlic

Egg Wash:
1 large egg
1 Tbsp room temperature water

Process:
Season steak and onions with seasoning blend and cook on a flattop griddle or skillet.
Press out pizza dough into a long rectangular shape, approximately 24” x 12”.
Place cheese, steak, and onions in the center of the dough. Be sure to alternate toppings so there is a good mix of each in every bite.
Fold and seal the dough.
Brush with egg wash.
Sprinkle sesame seeds.
Cut slits into the top of the dough to vent.
Bake at 425°F for approximately 15 minutes.
