  1. That homemade giardiniera doesn't look oily enough. Thank goodness he also used Marconi, which is the real deal.

  2. Chicago style offers wet or dry beef sandwiches. We love oil in our giardiniera, our “dry” beef soaking in wet beef juice, and our sandwich bread would never look like a banh mi.

  3. Why is there cheese and why didn't you dip the beef? It's supposed to be sloppy greasy.

  4. Wrong cut of meat, wrong mix of veg, bread is never toasted and you didn't even dip it. And CHEESE??????????? Cheese is only ever there to please placate the drunks from Wisconsin.

  6. Marconi's Giardiniera is delicious, but I've tasted those sandwiches from like 3 separate Chicago restaurants, and they're all just soggy garbage.
