🇮🇹 After a successful and exciting commission at Stefano Bemer, my good friend and guide Tommaso and I departed for dinner. In this episode, he takes me to one of his favorite restaurants, Atto Di Vito Mollica, located inside hotel Palazzo Portinari Salviati. The space is a 15th Century masterpiece that was formerly the home of Dante’s muse and the first residence of Cosimo de’ Medici, the Grand Duke of Tuscany.
While enjoying a celebratory negroni, we are greeted by Executive Chef Vito Mollica. Before dinner, Chef Vito gives Tommaso and me a tour of their incredible dining room, situated in the former courtyard of the Bank of Tuscany, and the restaurant’s kitchen. Afterwards, we sit down for a dinner, where we discuss the Florentine Tradition of Excellence and the people behind the amazing quality and craftsmanship we have come to hold so dear.

I will not purchase a tie made anywhere else but Italy. I am, of course, talking about high-end 100% silk ties that are "off the shelf" and not top-tier, bespoke ties made by true artisans of the craft. That person might be located just about anywhere in the world.

Hi Kirby, what a wonderful Video. I know this request is kind of strage, but can you make a video an tips to sweat less in formal clothes. I often find myself sweating a lot in long formal clothes, when the temperatures hit 20 Degrees Celsius and more.

Spent a few weeks in Florence back in 2011, for our honeymoon.. it was so deeply memorable and my wife and I very much want to visit again. I'll be taking pointers from this series, absolutely.. I wonder how far in advance one needs to reserve a table for Atto Di Vito Mollica. Thanks again, Kirby!

Definitely a nice and relaxing video to watch. It's also nice that you don't take any of this luxury for granted and appreciate how much effort has to be put in and respect the people who actually do that hard work.

That's not hair combed on that lovely statue. That is a hair wrap.
They tended to get quite elaborate in South America (and in New Orleans, if my memory serves), and Black women were often banned from wearing them, but they did anyway.
Kirby, I have to admit. After this week in our country, this video was as refreshing as that negroni appeared to be. I am retired and rarely wear a suit and even more rarely a tie. That said, the other day I did put on my Jaeger suit (not bespoke, alas) plus a pink shirt and my heavy eight year old heavy black brogues and I felt better. Next time I have a Martini in Dukes Bar I think I'll dress for the event. I do wish I liked Campari, Kirby. Great series.
