  1. What an incredible piece of history!!! Also, nice, original and creative ending, Dave!!! Thanks!!! 🙂

  2. You'd never know by the loving photos that they were sadistic criminals. Bribing, conning, coercing, murdering people. Just goes to show that you can't judge a book by it's cover, only it's content.

  3. Why do these fantastic beautiful places get left. I can never understand why. You give us such a great story and it is always good. Thanks so much 😊❤

  4. This mansion is amazing! Why are places like this left to decay? Doesn't the local government step in after so long to sell the property?

  5. Hi, DAVE, are you SURE there wasn't a dead body in that large box, after all, it did smell! Yikes.
Wonderful location, I DO hope they save this place!

  6. OMG Dave the incredible furniture in this place is priceless! What an incredible explore! It's difficult to understand why this is all left behind? The furniture can be saved and sold off. I guess it meant little to these very wealthy people. Such a shame.

  7. I remember when yoj came here before with the little hedgehog. Its such a shame all that beautiful furniture thats just going to get trashed 😢

  8. Sooo. I've waited long enough. The hanging closet in the bathrooms was for robes and towels and such. Wardrobes in the hallways we're for spare bedding. The spare furniture in the upper floors were either storage or spare rooms. I love those cedar and storage chests. I would live the beds and wardrobes and vanities. They do not make furniture like that anymore. That would all cost a fortune in an auction.

  9. the water outlets in the walkways are so maides dont have to run up and down the stairs with buckets of water or bed pans

  10. Coming back to finish this one off.. you should seriously consider writing a story with all the wonderful details you see.. could imagine you being an author.. you have that imagination in how you picture the lives that went on..

  11. Amazed by the furniture left in this place! How sad.
The screened cupboards in the rooms off the kitchen were for storing food stuffs, fresh vegetables as well as packaged goods. The screens were to allow air flow to keep foods fresh, but also to keep mice and other invaders out. Similar to English pie cupboards.
The vessels hung on the radiators were filled with water, and worked as a humidifier, slowly allowing the water to evaporate.

  12. Such a gorgeous place! Thought I could hear a horse trotting around outside, but probably just the wind. I get caught up imaging what life must’ve been like. Great video, Dave! Loved it so much!
