Join Our Wine Tasting Experience – LIVE

It’s finally time to lift the cloche together… Can we make this the world’s largest online wine tasting?!

Thousands of you will be tasting along with our Lift The Cloche experience or have sourced the wines yourselves, so sit back and get ready to taste along with us, arming us all with the know-how and vocab to understand what you like, what to look out for when buying wine, and what to ask for in a restaurant.

Those drinking along… get wines 1-4 in the fridge until we start at 7pm. Have at least 2 wine glasses to hand and any snacks you want to enjoy!

Get ALL your questions into the chat and we’ll get Ebbers to answer them throughout the live!!

  1. I was in the pub industry for years and was asked to go on a wine tasting course for a year. I was asked to leave after three months as I just don’t have a palate for it pmsl

  2. Houston, texas🤗The samples were not available in the States. I love Viognier and Champagne. Prosecco, Cava…the bubbly girls are my friends.👍🏻✌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🥰🍾🍾🍾🥂I studies wines at the Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management at UH, and I used to love nearly all wines, but my biology has changed, and all reds (and most whites) smell like poison, to me.😢😢😢

  3. I'm not drinking but I am having a slice of "London" pie in Copenhagen, its got potatoes, mushrooms, and onions on it.

  4. Its fun jumping between the VODs from professional camera gear to cell phone 🙂 Fun all around!

  5. ABV explanation: percentage can be measured two different ways, by weight and by volume. Because alcohol is lighter than water, if you calculate the percentage of the weight of the alcohol in the weight of the whole wine, you would get a different number than if you calculate the percentage of the volume the alcohol in the volume of the whole wine. So you need to specify which one was calculated. Because alcohol and wine also have different thermal expansions, it is calculated at exactly 20 C

In case anyone is curious, Why do they use ABV instead of ABW? Basically, because wine is sold by volume, not weight.

  6. I wish I could have joined in ..hopefully the next one will ship internationally

"There's no such thing as a bad wine. As long as You know you and your guests had a great time and when the wine bottle is empty..it was a great wine"

  7. Oh, bless Barry for sharing with Mike. I love the whole team, so I love seeing an effort to share as much as possible.

  8. This is fantastic guys, thank you- so educational and entertaining. I'm watching on Saturday morning from Malaysia. I hope the 2 Wine Tasting live videos will stay available to watch cos I think I'm going to have to refer to these again to take notes!
Really well done and thank you again!!

  9. A live show with international crunchy packaged snacks could be shipped to other countries (rather than just the UK) and would be fun and silly to geek out about all the notes, textures, as well as people feeling their culture being represented. By the way, I've taken a proper wine course, and I have never heard the watercolour painting analogy and really appreciated it.

  10. My wine of choice is Brunello di Montalcino, with a traditional Barolo being a close second.

  11. Wanted to join in – sadly not able to get the Box set here in the USA… Great and Fun Video… Well done Boys…La Milliere Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc, is My Go to Dinner Wine

  12. I know I'm a day late on this but would love a whisky version of this as well! Even though the wine tasting kit doesn't ship here, absolutely loved the informative and break- down analysis of the tasting notes! Well done to the SortedTeam, as always!

  13. I'm a day late to be truly tasting along side but id love to have more of these. And bonus points if you can couple the next one with easy to make/find snack suggestions ahead of time.

  14. The palate knows what it likes. What sweet to one is fruity or dry to another. This a good beginning on what to and how to taste, you ultimately decide what you like.
