This penne pasta sausage with sausage in a tomato cream sauce is quick and easy and most importantly delicious! We PC’d ours for 5 minutes and it is al dente if you want your pasta softer cook it for 1-2 minutes more.

Penne pasta with sausage with tomato cream sauce
1 pound sausage-hot or sweet(if you use sweet you can add 1/4-1/2 tsp red pepper flakes or leave it out)
1/2 cup small dice onion
1/2-1 Tbsp mince garlic
1/2 cup red wine, stock or water
1 1/2 tsp italian seasoning
1 tsp salt
1 tsp dried parsley
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes
1 1/2 Tbsp tomato paste
1 1 /2 cups water
1/2 pound penne pasta
1/4-1/2 cup heavy cream
1-3 Tbsp parmesan cheese
Garnish with parmesan, parsley and ricotta
Select sear/Saute add sausage and cook/brown when almost done add onion cook until translucent add garlic cook one more minute-until fragrant.
Add 1/2 cup red wine or stock and let cook until almost evaporated
Add seasonings-italianseasonings, salt, pepper, parsley and crushed tomatoes, tomato paste and stir.
Add water and pasta-make sure pasta is submerged-I admit I stirred. It in a little.
Place PC lid on select PC HI for 5 minutes then a QR-quick release
Then stir in cream and simmer a few minutes-I just left it on keep warm.
