I sailed the Enchanted Princess in September to New England and Canada it seemed very much updated. It was delightful ! The cruise director and the entertainment staff were excellent. We loved it. We hope the Sun Princess exceeds it. We’re sailing on it in February.

Do you think in the next 10 years we will see more robot service on cruise ships. Areas like the coffee bar and buffet? To me I could see the use of robots 🤖 at locations where repetitive actions will be automated.
Don't understand why cruise lines give bloggers free cruise and keep raising prices and fees for cruisers
Darren McGrady is completely fascinating! I saw him at Mount Airy Casino Resort several years ago when he cooked a favorite meal of Princess Diana in front of us and then we were served the same from the kitchen. Delicious!
My MIL got a signed cookbook and was afraid to let me look at it. She thought I was going to take it from her. As if! I bought my own, unsigned copy since they had run out of books to sell at the event. haha

90 bucks a day for yhe premium pkg sounds great considering what you mentioned it includes. I would pay that just for alcohol and unlimited specialty dining

I feel like gratuities should be called nothing but “gratuities” and not part of the cruise fair. Otherwise, you feel obligated to tip on top of what you’ve already paid. And the beauty of paying the gratuities upfront is that there’s no question about tipping in every interaction with the crew as to: 1) whether to tip 2) how much to tip 3) whether you should have tipped, 4) whether they were expecting a tip, 5) etc. It’s part of the all inclusive feel to not have the pressure about tipping. (But do it if someone goes above and beyond) It makes for a more relaxing and less stressful vacation in my opinion. Additionally, it makes it more difficult for the cruise line to take that money away from the crew. If it’s dedicated to them, they have a better chance of actually getting that money!
I just got off the Majestic Princess on Oct 10th. Next cruise is a transatlantic on the Celebrity Equinox on Nov 21st.
I'm not a fan of Princess, but your "live" show had me looking up reviews for the Sun Princess. I'm reminded why I don't like Princess. Money saved. 🙂

I wish all the Princess ships would go to crew served buffets. I'd definitely eat there more often instead of going to the Main Dining Room. The buffet always looks really unappealing because of the splats, blobs and crumbs everywhere. People make a mess and then you have to come after them trying to find a serving of food that hasn't been massacred. On my last 14 day cruise, I ate in the buffet twice and that was actually just because of a time issue as a result of excursion conflicts with MDR mealtimes.

however – most ARE including port taxes and fees in the price.

specialty dining is extra
the exceptions to that are the SPECIALTY CABINS like the SUN PRINCESS where gratuities, internet, alcohol, specialty restaurants – port taxes and fess – everything is included.

I take my tips off. I tip at endof cruise like the old fashion way in an envelope based on the level of service I get. If they want a good tip give me good service. When they went away from the old system the service has gone down for sure.
