The Little Italy was created by Audrey Saunders of the Pegu Club bar in NYC. A subtly bitter variation on the classic Manhattan using the bitter Italian liqueur, Cynar.
HOME BAR BASICS CHECKLIST DOWNLOAD:
INGREDIENTS
– 60mL Rye Whiskey (2 oz)
– 22.5mL Sweet Vermouth (¾ oz)
– 15mL Cynar (½ oz)
METHOD
1. Combine all ingredients into your mixing glass
2. Stir with ice for around 30 seconds
3. Strain into a chilled coupe glass
4. Garnish with a cherry
