Osso Bucco is a famous Italian meal. It is made of beef shank and vegetables, cooked until the meat falls apart. You can just do it in the stove or in the oven. You can pair it with bread, rice, mashed potato, or pasta. This recipe is so easy to do and great for a weekend family dinner or lunch, perfect.
INGREDIENTS:
2 kilos beef Shank
2 Carrots
2 Stems Celery
1 Big Onion
1 Bell pepper
Parsley
Garlic
Ginger
Bay leaves
Salt and Pepper to taste
3 Cups of Beef Broth
2 Cups of Water
1 Cup of Wine (optional)
1/2 Cup Flour for coating the beef
2 tbsp. flour for thickening
PROCEDURE:
Coat the beef with the flour, In a hot pot with oil drop slowly the meat, cooked both sides until brown, set aside.
In the same pot start the saute starting with garlic then follow the rests of the vegetables, add the broth and water, stir. Add the oregano,thyme, paprika, salt and pepper, stir, cover bring to boil. Once boiling pop the pot in a preheated oven 210C/ 400F for 2 hours. Ypur best meal is ready to serve!
