Barilla Oven Ready Lasagna, Authentically Italian and Delicious

This Barilla Oven Ready Lasagna started off like most Italian cooking starts, with a soffritto base. Now, if you have not heard of a soffritto it’s a very simple way of cooking which includes finely chopped onion, carrots and celery. That is an Italian soffrito and it’s also the base for many Italian dishes.

This recipe is for anyone who wants to make an exceptional lasagna and in no time at all! These Barilla lasagna sheets don’t need any pre-cooking, boiling, burning your fingers trying to prevent them from sticking and you never have to add oil in the pot either. Actually there is no pot! Ha! No cooking the beef mince or tomato sauce for hours in advance to get a cooked, saucy and flavored sauce because the Barilla sauce cuts all that time out. The sauce contains 100% Italian tomatoes, has no added preservatives and the lasagna sheets are light yet satisfying, gluten free and these silky sheets bake to perfection!

Ingredients:
1 onion
3 celery stalks
2 carrots
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
500 grams beef mince
500 grams (No pre-cooking) Barilla Lasagna sheets
400 grams (1jar) of Barilla Bolognese sauce
