Texas Hot Links Sausage And Peppers Recipe One Pan Sausage And Peppers. This is a super easy one pan dinner idea that uses Texas Hot Links Sausage and peppers. Pair this one pot sausage and peppers recipe with our Rotel red Rice recipe and you’ve got a great weeknight dinner idea.

Ingredients:
500g (1 lb) Texas Hot Links Sausage ( )
30 mL (2 Tbsp) oil
500g (1 lb) peppers – mix of types and colours, sliced
2 onions, quartered
2 cloves of garlic, minced (optional)
500 mL (2 cups) crushed tomatoes (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Pinch of crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Method:
Cut up the sausage into 1″-2″ lengths and brown in a hot pan coated with a little oil.
When the sausage is browned on the outside and a fond has developed on the pan bottom; add the peppers, onions, and garlic if using.
Continue frying until the peppers and onions start to brown, but are still tender crisp.
Add the crushed tomatoes if using and adjust the seasoning with salt, pepper, and hot pepper flakes.
Continue cooking until the sausage is cooked through.
Serve with black beans and rice.
