One Pan Sausage and Orzo Recipe – Glen And Friends Cooking
Ingredients:
30 mL (2 Tbsp) olive oil
500g (1Lb) hot sausage, sliced
1 onion, sliced
1 bell pepper, chopped
250 mL (1 cup) orzo
500 mL (2 cups) stewed tomatoes
500 mL (2 cups) chicken broth
5 mL (1 tsp) hot red pepper flakes
5 mL (1 tsp) paprika
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
2 green onions, thinly sliced for garnish

Method:
Heat oil in a large deep-sided pan over medium heat.
Add sausage and fry until starting to brown.
Add onion and pepper and cook until soft.
Add orzo and stir to coat with oil and toast.
Stir in broth, tomatoes, red pepper flakes, paprika, and garlic.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Bring to a boil; reduce heat to a simmer, and cover.
Cook, stirring occasionally, until orzo is cooked through.
Top with green onions.
