Some pasta I freestyled.


Not quite sure what I’d call this – I just made it up as I went along – it was very cathartic.

I made two semolina based pastas – 1 with spinach and the other with sweet potato for colour , the sweet potato didn’t really show through as much as I would have liked.

The filling was roasted chicken, basil, portobello mushrooms , fresh oregano, egg plant , oil – I then pureed them into a moose for filling.

The bed of sauce was a bit much but it’s the kids favourite so I bent – just milk, butter, Parmesan and some flour.

All in all was good – the pasta was a touch tough in spots but it kept its shape quite well.

I gave it a 7/10 – the flavours of the filling were top notch.
