🍇Amarone is from the Veneto region made with dried grapes (think raisiny) of Corvina, Rondinella, Corvinone, among others.
🍇Because of the dried grapes, Amarone has a higher ABV and then is it aged in the barrel for a long time.
🍫🍒Put this all together, will give you a tannic wine with very rich with flavors of stewed cherries, chocolate, spices like cinnamon, plum, coffee and tobacco
🧀Pairings could be with red meats but can also pair with poultry like duck or cow au vin. Aged parmigiano cheese and truffles also pairs well
