Could This Be Saigon’s Best Street Pizza Experience? | Vietnam Travel Food Tips

Every once in a wile, you come across a food scene that you don’t expect to see in Vietnam. When I was in Saigon at the beginning of the year, I stumbled upon a quaint little street pizza shop in a Hem near Bui Vien street.

The shop was quite literally sitting open to the alleyway, so I wandered over the check it out. I was surprised to find a very young man, maybe mid-twenties building some very fine looking Neapolitan style pizzas. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to get back to taste his hand-crafted pizzas until just this week. Man on man, I was completely blow away but the entire experience. From the flavor of the pizza, the the street vibe, I just loved it!

Oddly, the young man building the pizza speaks fluent English (better than me). He has a quiet focused demeanor, and has been operating for only 9 months. In fact, his shop isn’t even on google maps yet. His goal is to maintain a small operation that prioritizes food quality and a more personal one on one dining experience.

You might want to get here before it’s impossible to get in.. it’s that good!
