Penne Alla Vodka #shorts #cooking #pasta



Ingredients
– 1 cup of finely chopped onion
– 2 tablespoons of chopped garlic
– 1 can of plum tomatoes or tomato sauce
– 1/2 cup of heavy cream
– 2 pounds of penne Rigate
– 1/2 cup of vodka
– 1 pound of Bacon (can also use pancetta, chicken or shrimp for protein)
– 1/4 cup of Parmesan, use extra for serving
– Parsley, garnish
– Salt and pepper

Directions

Start out by cooking down your bacon in a oilless cool pan, once bacon is in, turn up the heat. Let bacon cook for a few minutes until golden and crispy. Cut down into bits and set aside. In the same pan that the bacon was cooked in, add your onions and cook until soft. Add garlic and cook until fragrant. Once fragrant add your tomato sauce. Take a shot of vodka and add your vodka into the sauce. Cook down the alcohol for a few minutes and season sauce with salt, pepper and red chilli flakes. Add your cooked penne pasta and add heavy cream and Parmesan. Add half your chopped bacon bits to the dish. Get it one more mix and set aside.
