In this On The Road Special Edition, Stevie Kim visits Prosecco to meet the fourth generation of the Villa Sandi winery, Leonardo and Diva Moretti Polegato.
During the conversation, Diva and Leonardo explain their roles at the winery and the challenges involved in working in the family business. They also introduce and blind taste their favourite wines from the winery, and discuss the challenges involved in inspiring the next generation to drink wine, as well as the increasing importance of zero and low alcohol products. Finally, Diva explains her ambition for the winery to become fully-sustainable and self-sufficient within the next 5-10 years.
Villa Sandi is located between the DOCG area of Prosecco of Valdobbiadene and the DOC area of the Montello and Colli Asolani wines.
