An Italian Tries Nostalgic American Childhood Foods

Watch as Alessio, my Italian husband, tries classic American snacks for the first time. From Lunchables to Gushers, and everything in between, this video is packed with funny reactions, honest taste tests, and a lot of nostalgia. Growing up in the USA, these snacks were a huge part of my childhood, but will this Italian love them or leave them?

  1. I was always a fresh thin sliced tomato, mayonnaise and lays. Harriet the spy for the perfect snack

  2. Coco wheats with a little butter and sugar and dip it out in between spoon bites with a piece of buttered toast.!!

  3. Oh man that velveeta and shells looked so good and I cannot get it where I live: ( My favorite breakfast while camping in the mountains (as an adult) was Spaghetti-Os. Every visit to America I get a can. They're not amazing, but camping makes everything taste better. Fruit leather was the best way back when it resembled fruit, with little seeds, and it actually felt like leather. Memories! I was watching a documentary about SudTirol and the Dolomites as I enjoyed your video.

  5. This is so sad. This is why there is so much chronic disease in North America. None of this is real food. 😭

  6. You should have made him eat some of the cake with random bits of corn. They always managed to migrate into the cake or brownie, no matter what I did.

  7. I did the same sandwich with potato chips as a kid, just without the peanut butter! (i'm italian)
Anyway he's lying, he totally begged for Sofficini as a kid, I bet on it!

  8. Try mixing peanut butter with corn syrup and make a sandwich out of it you can also add sliced bananas
