Sicilian Salad Recipe

Here’s how to make this delicious Sicilian Salad.

Step 1: Prepare Your Vegetables
Into a large bowl, add some cubed boiled potatoes, halved cherry tomatoes, diced red onion, capers, and pitted Kalamata olives.

Step 2: Add Your Oil & Spices
Sprinkle on some salt and dried oregano, and finish with some really good olive oil and a splash of red wine vinegar.

Give it a good toss and you’re ready to eat.

The older I get, the more I appreciate good, fresh, simple food. There’s a reason recipes like this have been around hundreds of years.

Definitely give it a try.

  1. That looks awesome! I wonder how that would be with your pickled onions, which I made over the weekend with a slight twist. I used red wine vinegar, mustard seeds and peppercorns in the brine. That stuff is like crack! I can only think it would take this salad up another notch. Off to the kitchen, I shall go!

  2. So like a proper Greek salad with potatoes instead of feta and a bit do red wine vinegar added then. Will try that.

  3. It’s crazy how different food travel the world and end up making crazy good dishes like this. Both the potato and the tomato originated from South America. They were taken back by the Spanish to Europe and a few hundred years down the road I’m seeing this recipe on YouTube. Crazy stuff.

  4. You need to inherit the right tastebuds. I thought my mother-in-law was mean when she told me she didn’t have recipes. 😊

  5. Tomatoes are native to the americas and didnt really become popular in europe until the 19th century, so most of your ancestors didnt really try it

  6. Never you were Sicilian brother! Makes me love ur videos that much more! Sicilian from Chicago here!
