@morchelladining the London small plates restaurant you need to know about⤵️
My husband treated me to dinner at Morchella in Exmouth market to celebrate our engagement anniversary and what a treat it was. This restaurant is serving a Mediterranean inspired small plates menu with a difference. Bonus that they incorporate the service charge into the menu prices, petition for more London restaurants to do this please!
Start with the salt cod churros and you won’t regret it. The mussel pil pil is a must order! I’ve never had a dish like this and it hit all the marks. The stracciatella and beetroot salad was just what I wanted.
Although the day boat fish plate missed the mark for me I was unexpectedly blown away by the pork jowl. The textures are sublime. I also enjoyed the olive, sardine and bottarga tagliatelle. I told you this was a unique menu!
A perfect tiramisu ended a wonderful meal at Morchella for us. I’ll definitely be back here as it’s on of those London restaurants with a changing menu and I’ve spotted some other dishes I want to try.
