Ingredients:
7 grams of dry active yeast
4 cups of flour
Olive oil
5 cloves of garlic
12 black olives
Italian seasoning
salt
Instructions
Bowl 1:
7 grams of dry active yeast
11 ounces of warm water
Bowl 2:
4 cups of flour
pinch of salt
tablespoon of olive oil
– Combine bowl 1 into bowl 2 and stir together with a spoon
– Knead dough for 10 minutes until it has a rubber band-like texture
– Cover the dough with plastic wrap and proof for 40 minutes
– Mince garlic and slice black olives
– Cover the bottom of a baking pan with semolina or wheat flour then put the dough into the pan
– Pour a couple tablespoons of olive oil onto the dough and dimple the bread with fingers
– Top the dough with garlic, olives, Italian seasoning, and salt
– Cover the pan with a warm towel and proof for 45 minutes
– Bake the focaccia at 400F for 25 minutes or until top is golden brown
